Dance Programs
Students are placed in classes according to age and ability. They can choose from Pre-dance, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical/Contemporary, Acro and Hip Hop. The class length is dependant upon both the dancers age and level.
All classes are taught B.A.T.D.(British Association Teachers of Dancing) syllabus. For interested students, T.K. Danceworx offers amateur/professional examinations through the B.A.T.D. and also offers a competitive team.
PRE-DANCE

Ages: 2.5 to 4 years old
An introduction to dance classes including both Ballet and Jazz styles. Students will work on co-ordination, creative movement mime while increasing self-confidence.
BALLET
BALLET
Ages: 4 years to adult
Classical Ballet techniques, National Dances, mime and theory. Students will build strength, flexibility and work on body posture and poise. Ballet is the basis of all forms of Dance. Pointe* is only offered to the experienced Ballet dancer.
Jazz
Jazz
Ages: 4 years to adult
Classes begin with a warm up to increase strength, flexibility and development of technique. This class will involve isolations, linking steps across the floor and routines.
TAP

Ages: 4 years to adult
Students will learn to make various sounds and to expand on rhythm, timing and counting beats to different types of music.
Acro
Acro
Ages: 4 years to teen
The class develops flexibility, strength and cardiovascular conditioning. Students will work towards Acrobatics tricks. ( bridges , walkovers.etc.. )
LYRICAL / CONTEMP

Ages: 7 years to adult
Classes begin with a warm up to increase strength, flexibility and development of technique. The class will involve across the floor, improvisation and routines.
HIP HOP
HIP HOP
Ages: 4.5 years to adult
Class begins with stretching then moving towards hip hop moves. Classes are for fun and there is no exam preparation.

Offered to experienced ballet dancers.

Ages: 1 to 3 years
A parent assists their child to learn early movements with an instructor. Works toward motor skill development.
